The University of Twente (UT) is situated in the eastern part of The Netherlands at the junction of two cities, Hengelo and Enschede. Enschede was recently recognised as the most attractive city for study in The Netherlands.

The UT was founded in 1961. It is distinguished by its commitment in bringing together Engineering Sciences, Applied Sciences and Social Sciences, both in education and research. The university is unique in The Netherlands not only for its entrepreneurial policy, but also for its beautiful campus with excellent facilities: restaurants, a cultural centre, staff and student housing, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a hotel, a health centre, and specialised facilities for teaching and learning. The UT has an enrollment of approximately 6,000 students in 5 Faculties. One of them is the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences.

Apart from the international Educational Science and Technology related MSc Programmes (C&I, EEA, EPMS, HRD and TAET), the Faculty offers a three-year post-secondary programme in Educational Design, Management and Media communicated in the Dutch language.

In addition, the Faculty participates in several international organisations and research networks, such as IEA (International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement), the International ICO Network, and the European Socrates Student Mobility Programme.

Many of our courses make use of the TeleTOP system.   Registered users may jump straight to TeleTOP (for those of you who still need to access the information from before August 2003 please use the following link TeleTOPold).  If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us. TeleTOP account inquiries should be made with Dionysia Loman directly.
